Conference venues

Use the building number and room number when following campus signs.

Track C: Steele Building

Building 3, Room 03-262. Steele is beside the Global Change Institute and is labelled at the top of the GCI map above.

St Lucia campus & Brisbane

The conference is at UQ’s St Lucia campus, on the Brisbane River. UQ Lakes bus station and the UQ St Lucia ferry terminal provide access to campus.

Getting to campus

Plan your journey to UQ Lakes station by bus/metro, or UQ St Lucia ferry terminal by CityCat.

By bus / Brisbane Metro

M2 to UQ Lakes

  1. From the city: board M2 towards UQ Lakes at Roma Street busway station or King George Square bus station.
  2. From South Bank: board M2 towards UQ Lakes at Cultural Centre station or South Bank busway station.
  3. Get off at UQ Lakes station. Follow campus paths to GCI, Building 20, for Monday morning registration.

Other bus routes serve Chancellor’s Place on the western side of campus. Use UQ Maps to walk from your arrival stop to the conference venues.

By ferry

CityCat to UQ St Lucia

  1. Board a CityCat F1 towards UQ St Lucia. Services call at city and riverside stops, including QUT Gardens Point and South Bank.
  2. Get off at UQ St Lucia ferry terminal.
  3. Follow the campus paths to GCI, Building 20. Open the GCI map for your walk to Monday morning registration.
